A great combination of police procedural with a sci-fi monster twist. Ed McBain Meets HP Lovecraft.
What lead me to comment was that when you were discussing Hawaiian Eye (which ran 4 seasons and I'd never heard of it), I could have sworn you said that Robert Conrad's costar was Anthony *Ainley*--that is, the 1980s version of The Master, from Doctor Who. In fact, it was Anthony Eisley, which is not nearly as weird.
