Greg Matiasevich was kind enough to invite me back to talk about the DVD release of CREED, boxing and boxing films Star Trek and Lots Of Comics Talk..
It’s been a little over two years since he was last on the show, but Wordballoon’s own John Siuntres returns to the studio at the center of the earth to talk to Greg about a subject near and dear to his heart: boxing. The lads thought since John covered boxing as a journalist for almost 16 years, it would be neat to get his take on last year’s CREED (now out on home video) and talk a little bit about the sport in general. If you only know about John through his comics talk, then you are really in for a treat; he is just as passionate and articulate about the sweet science as he is sequential art. Plus, like almost every episode of either Wordballoon or Robots, there are tangents and digressions galore. Movies, TV shows, Star Trek…oh, and of course, comics. We hope you enjoy listening to this conversation as much as they had having it, and with any luck it isn’t another two years before John comes back on the show.

Hi John, great interview. I'm especially happy that when talking about 'Cinderella Man' you vindicated Max Baer by saying he wasn't the ass-hole that was depicted in the film.
On Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast, this was a source of contention for Max Baer, JR (the great Jethro Bodeian). He hates the way his father was depicted in that film and you could tell how much it's been eating him up.
That too was a great interview. If you hadn't heard it I highly recommend it.

Just realized that I've been listening to you for 7 years now. Thanks for the hours (and hours) of entertainment!!! Last year I Joined 'The League of Word Ballon Listeners' as a SuperHero and will do so again this year :-)
Keep up the great work!!!
